Diabetic foot care

Most diabetic amputations begin with a small wound that was not noticed in time. Regular professional foot care is the single most effective way to prevent that, and our podiatry team works directly alongside diabetic care here.

What's Involved

  • Sensation and circulation testing — Monofilament and pulse assessment at every visit.
  • Routine care — Safe nail and callus care that is risky to do yourself with reduced sensation.
  • Wound and footwear management — Early treatment of any breakdown, plus therapeutic footwear.

When to Come In

  • Any diabetes diagnosis — An annual foot check at minimum, more often with neuropathy.
  • Numbness or tingling — Reduced sensation, which removes your warning system.
  • Any sore or colour change — A wound, blister, or discolouration needs same-week review.
