Vascular ultrasound imaging
Vascular ultrasound imaging
Vascular ultrasound shows blood flow in real time without radiation or contrast, and having it in the office means the diagnosis and the plan happen in one visit. It is the foundation of every vascular decision we make.
What's Involved
- Arterial studies — Duplex imaging of the leg and carotid arteries, plus ankle-brachial index testing.
- Venous studies — Reflux mapping and clot screening of the deep and superficial veins.
- Same-visit results — Images reviewed with you before you leave.
When to Come In
- Leg pain or swelling — Symptoms that could be arterial, venous, or a clot.
- Stroke risk assessment — Carotid screening where risk factors are present.
- Before any vein treatment — Mapping is required before treatment can be planned properly.
