Vision therapy
Vision therapy
Some vision problems are not about the sharpness of the image but about how the two eyes work together. Vision therapy is a structured programme of exercises that trains eye teaming, focusing, and tracking, and it is often what helps a child who reads well below their ability.
What's Involved
- Binocular vision evaluation — Testing of eye teaming, convergence, focusing, and tracking beyond a standard exam.
- Individual programme — In-office sessions paired with a short daily routine at home.
- Progress review — Repeat measurements so gains are documented, not assumed.
When to Come In
- Reading difficulty with clear eyesight — Losing place, skipping lines, or avoiding reading altogether.
- Eye strain or double vision — Especially with close work or after a concussion.
- Poor hand-eye coordination — Trouble with catching, copying from the board, or handwriting.
